From Small Beginnings

The SOS story is one of vision, ethics, and rapid growth. Founded in 1990 by Cindy Oldfield, SOS Corporation holds that a good business is run the same way as a strong family: with teamwork, commitment and integrity. Cindy could see there was a gap in the marketplace for thorough, detailed final cleaning services on construction sites. General contractors could create beautiful buildings, but preparing the space perfectly for move-in was better served by cleaning specialists. This is where Cindy’s meticulous eye and years of experience kicked in.

As a woman, it wasn’t easy to break into the construction field. “A lot of people told me, ‘You can’t do this. You’re a cleaning lady.'” Cindy laughs about it now. “That’s all I needed to hear.” She went from builder to builder, persuading them to try her services. Word spread among contractors about a new company that prepared their projects¬†for move-in to perfection. When Cindy started to hear from supervisors, “You’re the best thing we’ve ever seen out here,” she knew she’d made her mark.

But that was just the beginning for SOS Corporation. As SOS continued to grow, Cindy realized that demolition services would be a good fit for her team as well. As long as they maintained their values and the “clean as you go” mentality, they would continue to produce great work.

SOS now specializes in occupied demolition and cleanup, utilizing their uniquely efficient processes to leave a minimal footprint and ensure a successful operation every time. With their commitment to quality work, SOS’s cleaning, labor, and demolition services will continue to be successful.
